Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced CNC Operator with hands-on experience in the modular furniture and panel furniture industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and manage CNC Router / CNC Point-to-Point / CNC Drilling machines used in furniture manufacturing.
- Read and understand technical drawings, furniture drawings, BOMs, Cut Lists, and CNC programs.
- Set up the machine according to the required job and material specifications.
- Load and unload MDF, plywood, particle board, HDHMR, and other panel materials safely.
- Perform CNC operations such as:
- Cutting
- Routing
- Drilling
- Grooving
- Pocketing
- Dowel drilling
- Hinge drilling
- Connector drilling
- Profile cutting
- Check machine settings, tool selection, offsets, and program parameters before starting production.
- Verify the first piece/sample before proceeding with batch production.
- Ensure accurate dimensions and machining as per drawings and specifications.
- Perform regular quality checks during production.
- Identify and rectify basic machine/programming issues.
- Coordinate with Furniture Designers, Production Supervisors, and CNC Programmers regarding drawing or program-related issues.
- Minimize material wastage and optimize material utilization.
- Maintain proper machine housekeeping and follow 5S practices.
- Perform basic daily machine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and tool checks.
- Report machine breakdowns or technical issues to the maintenance team.
- Follow all company safety procedures and machine operating guidelines.
Requirements
CNC Machine Knowledge
Experience with any of the following machines is preferred:
- Homag CNC
- Biesse CNC
- SCM CNC
- KDT CNC
- CNC Router – Flat Bed
- CNC Point-to-Point
- CNC Drilling / Boring machines
- CNC nesting machines
Software / Programming Knowledge
Knowledge of any relevant CNC software is preferred:
- WoodWOP
- BiesseWorks / bSolid
- ArtCAM
- AlphaCAM
- Cabinet Vision
- AutoCAD
- Other furniture CNC programming software
Qualification & Experience
Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, CNC, Furniture Technology, or relevant technical qualification preferred.
Experience: 2–6 years of relevant experience as a CNC Operator in modular furniture, panel furniture, kitchen, wardrobe, or interior manufacturing
