Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled All-Rounder with hands-on experience in multiple furniture manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and handle multiple machines used in modular furniture manufacturing.
- Perform panel cutting operations using Panel Saw / Sliding Table Saw.
- Operate Multiboring Machines for drilling holes as per furniture drawings and specifications.
- Understand and follow furniture drawings, BOMs, cut lists, and production instructions.
- Perform drilling, grooving, cutting, and basic machining operations as required.
- Handle furniture components made from MDF, plywood, particle board, HDHMR, and pre-laminated boards.
- Assist in edge banding operations and ensure proper finishing of furniture panels.
- Carry out furniture assembly, hardware fitting, and component preparation as required.
- Check dimensions and quality of finished components before moving them to the next production stage.
- Ensure accurate hole positioning, cutting dimensions, and component alignment.
- Identify defective materials or machining errors and report them to the supervisor.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure optimum utilization of boards.
- Perform basic machine cleaning, tool checks, and routine maintenance.
- Coordinate with CNC operators, carpenters, production supervisors, and other team members.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Follow factory housekeeping practices and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Handle other furniture production activities as assigned by the Production Manager.
Requirements
Machine Knowledge Required
The candidate should have hands-on experience with multiple machines, preferably including:
- Panel Saw / Sliding Table Saw
- Multiboring Machine
- Edge Banding Machine
- CNC Router – an advantage
- Beam Saw – an advantage
- Drilling and routing machines
- Hand tools and power tools used in furniture production
Qualification & Experience
Education: ITI / Diploma in Carpentry, Furniture Technology, Mechanical, or relevant technical training preferred.
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience in modular furniture or panel furniture manufacturing.
Preferred Candidate: Candidates with practical experience in Panel Saw, Multiboring, and furniture assembly will be given preference.
