Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Band Saw Operator to join our furniture manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating band saw machines to cut wood, metal, and other materials used in furniture production. As a Band Saw Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring precise cuts, maintaining machine efficiency, and producing high-quality furniture components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate band saws to cut wood and other materials according to design specifications and blueprints.
• Read and interpret cutting lists, blueprints, and work orders to prepare materials for cutting.
• Adjust machine settings and monitor operations to ensure accurate cuts and optimal performance.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and adherence to production standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on band saw machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
• Follow safety protocols while operating machinery and handling materials to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet furniture manufacturing goals and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Band Saw Operator in the furniture manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of band saw operation and machine setup.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and cutting specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and focus on high-quality craftsmanship.
• Familiarity with safety standards and machine maintenance.
