Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Biesse edge banding machines to apply edge bands to various furniture components such as panels, doors, and cabinets.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules to ensure correct edge band application and material usage.
• Adjust machine settings for different materials and edge band types, ensuring consistent and precise results.
• Monitor the edge banding process, ensuring that bands are applied smoothly without defects or air bubbles.
• Inspect finished products to verify the quality of edge banding, ensuring they meet the required standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the Biesse edge banding machine to maintain optimal performance and reduce downtime.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed, maintaining a safe and organized workspace.
• Document machine settings, production output, and material usage for accurate records and reporting.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Edge Band Operator with Biesse or similar edge banding machines in furniture manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of edge banding processes, materials, and machine operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
