Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, MDF, plywood, and other materials to create furniture components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate dimensions and assembly.
• Use hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders, to perform woodworking tasks.
• Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and locks on furniture pieces.
• Perform sanding, finishing, and staining to ensure the final product meets quality and aesthetic standards.
• Collaborate with other carpenters, designers, and production staff to meet deadlines and quality goals.
• Inspect finished pieces for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Skilled Carpenter in furniture manufacturing or similar industries.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, furniture construction, and finishing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety standards in woodworking and manufacturing.
