Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure, cut, and sew fabric, leather, and other materials to upholster sofas according to design specifications.
• Stretch and fit upholstery materials over sofa frames, ensuring a smooth, tight, and professional finish.
• Replace and repair upholstery on sofas, ensuring the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
• Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and production schedules.
• Inspect completed sofas for quality, ensuring that all upholstery is flawless and meets comfort and durability standards.
• Work with various materials such as fabric, leather, foam, and other upholstery materials, ensuring proper application and durability.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following safety protocols and best practices.
• Perform regular maintenance on upholstery tools and equipment to ensure proper function.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sofa Upholsterer in the furniture manufacturing or upholstery industry.
• Expertise in upholstering sofas and working with a variety of materials such as fabric, leather, and foam.
• Strong ability to interpret design specifications and follow patterns for cutting and sewing.
• Attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship in creating high-quality furniture pieces.
• Physical stamina to handle upholstery materials and work in a fast-paced environment.
