Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and install modular furniture systems, including office furniture, cabinets, workstations, and storage units, according to client specifications and design plans.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand assembly and installation requirements.
• Measure and cut materials as needed, ensuring precise fitting of modular components.
• Install modular components such as panels, shelves, drawers, and hardware, ensuring stability and functionality.
• Ensure modular units are installed correctly, securely, and to a high-quality standard.
• Perform adjustments and modifications on-site to ensure proper alignment and fit of modular units.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of installation projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment used for installation, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment during assembly and installation tasks.
• Communicate effectively with customers and project managers to ensure that all installation requirements are met.
• Provide after-installation maintenance and repairs as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a Modular Fitter, Furniture Fitter, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of modular furniture systems and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machinery used in modular assembly and fitting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
