Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet the company’s needs while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and manage the purchasing team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best prices and quality for goods and services.
- Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any issues related to quality, pricing, or delivery.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Develop and monitor budgeting for procurement, ensuring adherence to cost limits and financial goals.
- Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and supplier performance to make data-driven decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Generate reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier management for senior leadership.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Purchase Manager or in a senior procurement role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and inventory control.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
