Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Woodtech edge banding machines to apply edge bands to wood, MDF, plywood, and other materials used in furniture production.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production specifications to ensure correct edge banding and material usage.
• Adjust machine settings for different material types, edge banding, and production requirements to ensure precise application.
• Monitor the edge banding process to ensure that the bands are applied smoothly and without defects or air bubbles.
• Inspect finished edge banding for quality and consistency, ensuring compliance with production standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the Woodtech edge banding machine to maintain optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues, minimizing production downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, material usage, and production output.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and ensure high-quality output.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Edge Band Operator with Woodtech edge banding machines or similar equipment in furniture manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of edge banding processes, materials, and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
