Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate HOMAG edge banding machines to apply edge bands to various furniture parts such as panels, doors, and cabinet pieces.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production schedules to ensure accurate application of edge bands.
• Adjust machine settings for different materials and edge band types, ensuring optimal application of adhesive and a smooth finish.
• Monitor the edge banding process, checking for defects such as air bubbles, wrinkles, or misalignment, and make adjustments as necessary.
• Inspect finished products to ensure that edge bands meet quality standards and dimensional specifications.
• Perform regular maintenance on HOMAG edge banding machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and troubleshooting to keep machines in optimal working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, material usage, and production output.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Edgeband Operator with HOMAG or similar edge banding machinery in furniture manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of edge banding processes, materials, and machine operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in manufacturing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
