Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HOMAG edgebanding machines to apply edges to wood panels, ensuring smooth and high-quality finishes.
• Set up and calibrate the machine based on specific job requirements, including adjusting speed, temperature, and settings.
• Monitor machine performance during operation to detect and address any issues such as defects or malfunctions.
• Inspect the quality of finished edges, ensuring they meet company standards and client specifications.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HOMAG edgebanding equipment, performing routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure the efficient use of materials to reduce waste and optimize production output.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with the production team to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
• Document machine settings, production quantities, and any issues for continuous improvement.
• Assist in the training of new operators and provide feedback on operational procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience operating HOMAG edgebanding machines or similar woodworking machinery.
• Strong understanding of edgebanding processes, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on machinery.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on high-quality output.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
